I have branched out into making bags, but this is the first back pack I have made, I was very lucky and had a parcel of fabric in my Christmas box off my in laws. I just love this pattern, I will make lots more of these.
But this particular one is joining me on a trip to Bahrain in February when I fly out to visit my daughter and her family.

I was very lucky to receive a parcel of baby fabrics from my 89yrs old quilting Mother in Law a few weeks ago, there was a lot of vintage fabrics and part made appliquéd blocks which I squared up and finished, then turned into this lovely modern floating blocks Alphabet baby quilt.
This is made from 100% cotton with poly down batting. It was free motion quilted on my Janome Memory craft 6600P.
I have entered this quilt into the Bloggers quilt Festival.
I started this quilt years ago, then it got stuck in a drawer for a couple of years I forgot about it and made my daughter a quilt, forgot all about this one and used some of the red in my daughters, when I finally got this out…..you guessed it, not enough to finish it. lol so I cut it in half and matched the flow then used borders to make it big enough, just got the borders to quilt then the binding to do. it will be finished in a couple of days. Ready for my husbands birthday.
