Diana’s Wallhanging

One of our group Diana made this, it started as a wall hanging but ended up a cushion cover, for a first attempt at appliqué I think its brilliant, it looks much different now as Diana has embroidered detail on all the flowers and petals, I must get her to bring it back so you can see the finished article.

First Growth

After all the terrible weather we have been having lately I thought you would like to see some new growth that has happened since the snow left. The snowdrops and daffodil’s were donated by my Father in Law..:-)

New Cushion Covers

I decided we needed new cushion covers in the lounge, thought this design would be easier than it was, saw the picture in a French magazine, but there were no instructions. It took me all morning to make one cover in this design, only 8 more covers to go. :-(

New Style

I decided I was getting bored with my old style of painting, so I have taken a new turn in style and painting medium, I have gone from oils to acrylic. And I must say I really enjoyed the experience, although I have never used acrylics before, I think I am going to like them.
The difference was that the acrylics dry really fast, where as an oil painting could take me months to finish, I did the painting below in four hours.!!
I have also changed to a more impressionistic style too.
